The Video Studio

Yesterday we made 31 videos to help Indonesians understand how Jesus can make a practical difference in their life. The videos were two to five minutes long and will be posted at hereslife.info/indonesia and other locations.  You can get some idea of what they say by visiting looktojesus.com.

Here is our studio:  the pastor's office in an Arabic church.  I ran the teleprompter (my laptop hooked up to an external 17 inch monitor).  It was a bit tricky knowing when to flip to the next page, but I only make two mistakes all day.  After awhile I got pretty good at following along with what the actor was saying.

Phil was the video expert.  We could not have done this without him.  He took the work lights I bought from the local hardware store and arranged them to give us excellent lighting.    If you look careful you can see all three yellow light cases.

We used a lapel microphone I bought just for doing these shoots -- and Phil's camera.

Hadi, the Indonesian speaker, did great. He only had two days to become familiar with the script (the person who originally said yes to do the recording pulled out). One of the scripts was particularly difficult and we modified it on my computer just before recording it.

Now we will transfer the files onto DVDs and send to the USA for editing before posting them to our websites.  Right now we are helping almost 1,000 Indonsians a month on the next step of their spiritual journey, and I am looking forward to the impact these videos will have on their lives.
